I thought my truck had two overload springs above the factory spring pack. Last year replaced with a 5 pack of overload springs to carry my 6,000 truck camper. I sold the camper and am going back stock. Ordered after market ones and they were "oem" and had two springs. I took them back for other reasons and ordered from GMC via my vin and it came with only one spring. How many does the stock 3500 CC/LB/4x4/DRW have? Come to think of it, I saw a 09 on the dealer lot last month and I'm thinking it had one also. Confused.

There we go. 07 Classic with one. I'm thinking they changed springs in o6. Called the dealer and he says it's one leaf. Maybe stiffer main and weaker overload?

God I hope not,,,, I cant imagine this thing being andy stiffer un/slightly loaded

My 07 Classic has one. To find out the cargo capacity of your truck, look at the Tire and Loading Information Sticker on the left side of your truck's frame, usually it's around the rear door post. Can't recall the exact number, but mine is just less than 4,300...that 6k was way too much.

Yep, way too much! Expensive fix now like $700 for oem springs.
