I replaced my motor mounts in April and then a couple of weeks ago after installing the ATS turbo, the passenger side has collapsed again so that the exhaust manifold is now resting on the frame. Anybody have an idea on a fix? I thought about adding a spacer below the frame mount to keep the exhaust manifold off of the frame but, that does not fix the collapsed motor mount. I don't won't to replace it every few months, ugh!

uht oh....my passenger side exhaust manifold is just barely touching the frame. i figured that was "normal". hmmmm....
Anyways what brand of mount did you use? i believe they have heavy duty mounts available. I'd go with a well know brand as well. Avoid the chain stores, they sell made in china/mexico/Malaysia/vietnam crap.

Buy poly motor mouts. They don't make them for 6.2 but if you take the SBC and BBC polyurethane inserts or cores they should install into the mount housing, I bought 2 of them and will find out soon if they fit. I have been told that they do fit.
You will need a dril, vice, grinder and welder to rebuild your old motor mounts with the poly cores.

I can't remember the name but if you go on summit racing dot com search for polyurethane SBC gen 1 motor mounts. They should fit and if not you can return them or sell them or use them on some thing else.
The auto zone near me in hampton has the poly motor mount bushings over the counter. Advanced might have them too. I think a lot of larger city auto zones stock them if not I bet they can order them for you and save you the summitracing s&h charge. And if they don't fit you can return them for sure.

Yeah I think if I remember right the SBC 1 and BBC gen 4 and 5 or some thing like that are the same part. And I always herd that part fit in side the 6.2 mount.
I bought 2 from auto zone, I hope I can make them fit.
