I have a 96 suburban with the 6.5. Lately it has had an intermittent stalling problem. We changed the fuel filter and the oil pressure sensor. It ran good for a few days then started stalling while idling at a stop light. Now it stalls all the time. I had pep boys run a scan of codes and one was the fuel injector pump. Any thoughts? does it mean its time for a new injector pump or is there something that can be repaired or rebuilt on it?
TIA for any help

Fuel injector pump pulse width error or something like that?
Other than the stalling, does it run okay?

Not sure what the exact code was, he just said fuel injector pump. Other than this stalling, it runs and starts fine. Even when it stalls, cranck it a few times or let it sit a few minutes and it starts right up

I was thinking PMD too, but I was pretty sure they didn't cause any codes when they went bad

I dont think it was a code for the pmd itself but it kep setting a injection pump code for closure time to short and it was a internal short problem with the pmd on a 00 6.5 vinF 3500 HD I had.
