I've had my 05 lly for one month now. I love it. Best $40,000 I ever spent. I get glimpes of the power hidden in this stock vehicle when I get on her the right way, I have learned alot by reading and searching all of the threads here. I have been on this site every day since I took delivery. The knowledge found here is amazing. Now I am ready to cut her open. I have the Stick and The Plate and the Edge EZ in hand ready to go. I plan on installing the stick first, then the plate, then the edge, (correct order?). I do not think I want to soilder the stick. (seems to perminate). I plan on using splice clips and heat shrinking the connections (mistake?). Should I disconnect the battery or not bother? Should I run the vehicle for a while before installing the edge? Once all is installed should I let the tranny learn the edge power one step at a time. I plan on running setting two around town, and dropping to 1 or stock while towing. Maybe just try setting 3 once or twice. Any advice????????Surgery begins at 4PM est 5/24.

Your order sounds good, that is the order I installed them, you may want gauges to monitor EGT. As for the tranny learning, just pick a setting and let the truck go through a number of shift cycles, i.e. a lot of stopping, running through all of the gears and then slowing and repeating the process. You will have to "train" it in normal mode as well as T/H mode. I also covered all of my finger stick and the associated wiring with 3/4" wire loom so it retains that factory look, have fun as it gets very addicting and mashing the throttle becomes a lot more fun after the mods, even on a lower setting, compared to stock. You will be amazed.

Sorry, one more thing....GOOD LUCK "trying setting 3 or 4 once or twice" If you are able you have WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more will power than 99.9% of the people on this site.

Tommy, Did you run the truck for a while after the stick was installed before installing the edge, or did you do it all at the same time?. Does it matter?? Thanks for the tip.

Guages are essential.......

I put in the plate, got the code, put in the stick, cleared the code with the Predator, then installed the 85 tune and took my tranny to school. Doing it in this order proved everything was working as it should. I have since gotten no codes (2500 miles) and am very happy. I now run the 65 tune and am really happy aside from the EGT's getting high so fast, and exhaust is on the way pending my new duty station, which should bring down the egt's a bit. I agree with Biterman, at least get yourself a pyrometer.

Do it ALL at the same time and don't worry about it.

Put it in level 2 and leave it there.

Success!!!! I installed the stick. It took a little longer than I expected, mostly trying to make it disappear. See photos. Started it up, no check engine light, installed plate, piece of cake, started up again, much quieter, checked for leaks, took for a test drive no codes, thanks fingers! Next the edge ez went in no problems other than no slack in the connectors. Also not a word in instruction on how to get the toggle switch trough the fire wall. Left it tiewrapped under the hood. (less tempting that way). Took it for a scream on level 2, couldn't keep enough traction, (with this Nor easter we are having) to keep her strait. But overall very happy. Thanks to all of you who post here.

Any suggestions on EGT and Boost gauges, I'm looking for something very discreat and easy to remove.
