My passager front window and the other buttons only works if i have the door shut. What would cause this problem?

If only the buttons on the front Passenger door are the only ones that don't work when door is open, then I would venture to say that it is a short in the wiring for that door. Check it out, and see if the wires are rubbing on the metal where the rubber boot is between the door and door jamb at the front of the door. Sometimes those boots will come loose and the wires start to rub on the metal.

Ours are designed to work while open. At least the last couple of trucks I've owned have been.

Are you using the driver's door buttons? Try the pax door button with the door open. Also, I seem to remember the '03's had "one-touch" up and down. Maybe some "child proof" setting on your DIC, if you have one." ;)
