Hi all,
my g30 6.2 van has broken a broken line right at the oil cooler fitting. Sveral dealers say this line is discontinued, and I can't find it used (wouldn't bee good anyway). Anyone know the fitting size for the oil cooler input? I thought I could screw a fitting to oil cooler, with a lfare on the other end. From there have a flared 1/2" copper pipe that connects to the alluminum pipe via a flared union.
This thing is out of commission till I can solve this, and I was hoping to take a trip this holiday weekend. Can anyone help?

thanks,
Ken:help:

Go to a shop that makes hydraulic hoses. They should be able to make one up for you no problem. Good luck

well, I tried every hydraulic hose shop and A/C shop in town. No one can recognize this freak GM fitting! It looks like I'll have to bypass the stock oil cooler, which is totally fine. This is very frustrating to me. I'm looking into putting in an air/oil oil cooler now. The race car store is trying to find a way to couple stainless braided lines to the 2 steel lines that take oil to and from the oil filter housing. The steel lines then have a threaded fitting that goes to some braided hose, So he is trying to find something to fit those connections.
We'll see.
Anyone have any suggestions on this? I was thinking about having a fitting welded to the radiator, but then I wouldn't fit it back in it's tight hole!

Sorry to send you on a wild chase. I know that a lot of people with the 6.5s have had theirs done by hydraulic shops. Mine, I cut the Al crimp off and used t-bolt hose clamps instead. Good luck.
