Just had my '05 Duramax at Folsom Chevrolet for 7,500 mi. service and to investigate a knocking sound. Service went well but caught a lot of grief for having 'aftermarket' parts on the truck. No performance parts, just step bars, mud guards, trailer hitch, Rack-it lumber rack and shell.
Anyone know of a service center that is 'Okay' with aftermarket components on the vehicle in the Fair Oaks/Folsom, CA area?
Gawd knows what kinda grief I would've gotten if I had performance items on my rig.

They Must forget that these HD trucks are built to be work trucks:rolleyes: . And they ought to remember that GM sells step bars, mud guards, and trailer hitch for these trucks so theres not reason to get a hard time. Crappy service departments like GM has had these last few years and they wonder why their close to chapter 11. I'd be calling GM customer service and laying a complaint.
