I'm going to replace all 8 of my injectors myself using a post from this sight. Should I purchase a faulty code reader or any other electric plug in tool before I start this job??

You should not need one. Why are you replacing the injectors? Are they bad? I assume this is an LB7?

I was pulling my rv a couple weeks ago and white/blue smoke poured out of exhaust. I shut it off and fired it back up and it ran fine. This is the same thing that happened to me last year. I took it in and they found a bad injector that was sticking and so they replaced it under the warranty. I took it in this time and they said it wasn't covered because the in service date was out of warranty. So now I'm going to do all 8 myself.

Have you tried some injector cleaner? One gallon of 99% bio diesel per tank will clean them or Lucas works.
