My truck was falling on it's face at the strip on every pass. I'm wondering if I had enough fuel in the tank, or if the trans is slipping and defueling. I don't know if the TCM or ECM will do that. It never went into limp or had a DIC come on. No codes showed up with the predator. It didn't matter if in tow haul or not. I started with 1/4 tank of fuel. When testing on the back roads and not doing boosted launches it runs through the shifts fine, at the strip the problem was there until about mid track. I wasn't running the N2O, just predator and pane.
:help:
Thanks,
Rob

could be just bursting... mine seems more likley to burst if my tank is low. Are you runing a lift pump? when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

I don't think it's bursting. No lift pump, but only running pred. on 100hp and has never bursted before. Propane is it's own fuel seperate from diesel system, so I don't think thats the problem.

Fuel fitler has 2k miles on it.

The trans fluid is bright pink(like new) and temps never went anywhere near 200*.

I guess I need to go out and test with full tank, I don't like doing boosted launches around town though. It's never acted like this at any fuel level before, without boosted launches. I guess a boosted launch could be enough to pull the remaining fuel away from the pick-up.

I know future testing will give me my answer, but I won't be testing soon and I'm wondering if it could be tranny slippage.

That could be somthing to think about. I am not sure where the suction tube is located in the tank(front, back or in the middle).

I ran it tonight with a full tank. The defueling feeling was there, but not as bad as at the strip. First test had that defueling right after 1st/2nd shift, second test felt great without defueling, third test had defueling after 1st/2nd shift and 2nd/3rd shift. It's funny how it dosen't do this without doing a boosted launch. If I nail it from idle at a stand still, it shifts nice w/out defueling.

Tests tonight were with propane and without N2O. I'm not going to hit the N20 when it can't shift properly without it.:help2:

Well after some futher testing, I'm relieved. I thought maybe I underbuilt the trans and it was slipping which caused the defueling. I made the mistake of adding the trans upgrades, propane, and N2O at the same time and then testing. The problem is the propane. I ran today with predator on 100hp and it shifted great, so I added the N20. I built boost and when I lifted the brake, hit the N20. Holy crap:eek: The truck shifted perfect with no defueling or falling on it's face. Broke all four tires loose on 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Man it feels good knowing it's not the trans slipping.:D This thing feels very fast with this combo. I can't wait to get it on the dragstrip.

Now I need you propane experts out there to help me with the falling over problem. Only does it after 3000rpms.

Thanks,
Rob
