hey guy's I'm new to diesels but I am looking at buying a new crew cab 4x4 with auto tranny, and I really like the super duty but with all the reliability issues I'm kind of worried. do you know if ford has fixed most of thier problems for the 06 PSD and what other changes have they made to the 06?

I talked to the dealer about ordering an 05 but they told me they could only order the 06 and that it wouldnt be in until sept-oct, they seemed like they didnt want to order one but wanted me to buy off the lot.

I want to buy a truck that I will love for 10 years or more, and one that will last 200,000+ miles, I am not loyal to any brand but I love the room in the ford, but would consider other options.

With proper maintance the 6.0 will last 200K. I have a '04 and not a drop of trouble. In '06 the 6.0 will only be better. I wouldn't worry about it just get one.

Order what you want. Don't buy off the lot.
