In a thread on the old 2500/3500 forum someone mentioned that there is a TSB for prematurely worn leather seats. I have been unable to find such a TSB, and would like to have it in hand when I visit the dealer about my seats (still under warranty). I posted the question on that thread, but no answer, perhaps since that is now a forum that is fading away no one has seen the post.
Anybody got anything on this TSB?
check the tsb forum....................

If you are experiencing the usual splitting and cracking with your leather seats, you can expect that for as long as you own the truck - NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES GM REPLACES THE SEAT COVERS UNDER WARRANTY! They are cheap garbage.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/images/smilies/badidea.gif
Once warranty is up then you have to pick up the tab. I'll never get them again. (Learned the hard way). My 2004.5 has the cloth seats and I am perfectly satisfied with them.
Good luck!

Ski1, I tried the link you provided with no success, It apparently doesn't recognize my cookies and also will not accept my username and the password I used when I reregistered after the board changed format.
There is nothing to see in the new tsb topic, and I found nothing with a search.
Yes, the leather is cheap and crappy. I have a '94 Lincoln MK8 whose seats look better after 11 years than my '03 seats after 21k. But the fact remains that they are what I have, and it may give me a little more leverage at the dealer to get something done if I have that TSB in hand when I arrive.

OK, just went back to TSB forum and did find the TSB on seats. Mine have worn almost all the way through in a line just inboard of the seam from leather seating section to vinyl side skirt. This is described in TSB as a condition covered under warranty, so I guess I'll take a copy with me when I go to the dealer.
Still got 7months and 15k left on the bumper to bumper warranty, so I should be good to go on this. Not too bad yet, so I think I will let it slide awhile till weather gets good and hot to see how AC is doing. Didn't seem to be cooling quite as well as it should last summer.
