Friday night, my weekend started out with a speeding ticket (10mph over speed limit/5mph over safe speed),then Sunday morning I was woke up with a frantic call from my ex-wife telling me my dog was hit and killed by a car(then the enjoyment of having to pick up his destroyed body off the road and take it to the pet cemetery, and the subsequent breaking-of-the-news to my 3 and 6-year old children). Sunday night I almost caused a multi-car accident trying to limp my dead truck from the fast lane, off the freeway because my Edge took a **** and shut it down. I got it started, but the thing acted like the rev limiter was set at 2,000rpm. I disconnected the Edge and cleared the code (P1093), and the truck worked normally, so I guess my weekend ended on a good note?

Sorry to hear about your bad weekend.
The P1093 isn't a problem specific to edge. Plug it back in and it will work find. Do a search here on P1093 and you will have some reading to do.

Naw, I'm done with it. I cycled the ignition switch 5 or 6 times over the span of probably 5 minutes, and the problem didn't go away. I unplugged the Juice and the truck ran fine, then I cleared the code. My truck is my daily driver and I don't have time to keep f-ing with problems like this, and I certainly don't want to have this problem if my kids are in the car.
Thanks for your thoughts, guys

Well, I can't do anything about your dog, but if you live in California, take a look at www.helpigotaticket.com. Most CA speeding tickets are easy to defend against. Even if you are not from CA, it has a lot of good info.
