Yes I have searched....but wanted to know what others' thoughts were:

I have already switched over to the LBZ mouthpiece on my LLY. Then I find a local 2007 Duramax LBZ that is getting rid of the entire LBZ airbox, tube, and all other parts necessary, and he gives them to me for free. He upgraded to a Banks system and has no need for the stock LBZ setup any longer. It has no more than 7,000 miles on the setup and the Donaldson filter in it looks almost new!

I realize that the ECU must be flashed but is there anything else I should be aware of? Install dificulties? How much should I expect to pay for the MAF flashing at the dealer???

Thanks in advance!

It will take some reading but... Pex68 (IIRC) did the swap to the stock LBZ system. There is a lot of info about his install in the "Seen this yet II" thread. Make sure you get all the baffles, brackets, ducts, etc, etc.....

I believe the dealer charges about 1 hr. of labor.

Thanks, I'll give the dealer a shout. I was also trying to find out if anyone in the Northwest/Seattle area had an EFI live set up that could also do it.

Yes, the dealer will charge you between $70~$95. He will also need to install the software for the LLY to LBZ retrofit as spelled out in the TSB (see attachment below). I have had it done. It is well worth it. You will use your LLY MAF sensor. Your friend should have installed his MAF in his new intake. The LLY software must be modified for the change in airflow when installed in the LBZ intake. Hope this helps.

I had the dealer do this about 2 years ago for free. I just got the LBZ mouthpiece and it fits perfectly. I highly recommend it!
