I threw a thread out about a week ago and didn't get much feedback so I'll try again.........I just made a 1,100 mile trip to my new job..... don't know anyone, living in a hotel for the moment, working 12 hour days and weekends.... Whatever, not here to give a sob story. My water pump is leaking and i'm dealing with it at the moment. I only have a few hand tools. Is there ANYONE in the Houma, Louisiana area that can help me PLEASE!!! I'm mechanically inclinded, I just don't have a place or the big tools to get this damn thing off. I'll buy beer, food, whatever is needed... I damn sure ain't going to pay a shop or dealership to do this.... Thanks!!

One other thing, i've read a few threads on here, do you HAVE to drop your starter to get to that one bolt on the water pump or not? Thanks again!

waste of time to pull the starter, just get a pry bar in to hold the teeth of the flexplate and give the crank bolt a twist (with a 6ft cheater bar)
