2006 Chevy Tahoe + 2007 LBZ Duramax! Motor In and all most ready to fire! We have came along way in short amout of time. But we have hit a bump in the road, looking for suggestions?

Having trouble getting ride of the Pas-lock. I have been talking to Eric at duraburb he has been very helpfull, but he to is stumped also.

Using either a TechII or EFI Live just turn it off. Change "engaged" to "disengaged". Can not do it without a programer. I hit the same point and then bought EFI Live. It has been a life saver to read DTC codes as well.

What is it that the ecm does not like about the bcm? What does the efi live over ride? Did you encounter an unused orange/black wire?

EFI will re-program the ECU not to use the passlock.

Does it eliminate the theft system completely?

EFI Live is a great company. You can download their software for free and look at it Just go to EFILIVE.COM. It is easy to use. I attached an example of it here: http://www.v2-duramaxtuner.com/Getting_Started.html
It will cost you $799 to buy it or you can do a few serches on who might have one near you.

A PPE programmer can also turn the theft system off.

Anybody Know why my Driver memory controls and heated seat controls dont work on this 06 tahoe but everything else works? Would that have something to do with why i cant get this thing to program?

I'm not really well versed, but I believe I remmeber reading about another swap recently where they used an 06 engine in a 07 body and they ran into issues with not all of the modules communicating properly. There was a protocol change in 07 in the can bus info that talks over the bus that renders some data useless.

Im thinking that must be what im running into, because if i dont have my 16 pin conn. plugged together then it will run for 3 seconds then shut down. But if i plug it back in pas lock takes over. I am really ready for this swap to go right!

Well we have found alot of new problems with the wiring tonight. overcame a few of them, obdII port is not the same on the two trucks but we have fixed that! and now we are tring to get the bcm happy enough to get on the bus! The gen. batt. control module is kinda tricky.... i hope to get this thing to program tonight.

Yeah it is done!!!! And let me tell you it is cazy fast! PPE prog. stage 4. I will post some pics as soon as i can and i will also post a vid. on youtube. Thanks agin Eric for all the help.

Hey Kyle, I was at the dealership today and we pulled up the GM module directory for your 06 Tahoe and if you remove the passenger side rear interior wheel well and a/c cover, to the right of the blower is your control module. the rest is allegedly in the EBCM which is mounted on the top of the ABS unit.

Glad we could all help you out. Get to know your tire guy really well.
