Doubt it. I never had any dealership say anything about it.

If you do end up having a problem with the engine, they have to prove that altering the exhaust or intake caused the problem. There has to be proof that it caused or exxagerated the condition. And that is a federal law!

It is the law, but be warned they can sit on the case sota speak and draw this thing out for a long time, all the while you are left with out a truck that need work.
But again I have never heard of anyone being denied warrenty due to exhaust modifications.

I cant think of any problems that could be caused b/c of a straight exhaust, iv always been under the impression that on a diesel the less backpressure the better

I have mine straight piped and have had no issues with the dealer working on anything on my truck. They never even said anything other than it sounded better than stock... Should not cause any problems.

It will void the warranty on the OE exhaust only!!! Nothing to worry about. My trucks been warranteed every time and that's with a 4" turbo back straight pipe, full-on supension lift, 35" tires etc... I Never leave the program or programmer in the rig if I go for service though. They don't even question it.

The dealer told my dad to go for it.
My dad had the same question and just asked the service manager.
If you have a doubt just ask

Dad called the dealer today and they told him that they didn't reccomend doing this and that if we ever had to have any warranty work done they might not honor the warranty, this kinda aggrvates me b/c this was the only mod i was plannin on doing until the warranty went out, but now it looks like im not even gonna get to do that
