what would les schwab do when i have them put bfg 285's on my stock wheels? will they just crank the tbars? i would like to leave them alone, ive been told they mess with how it rides. will they put in green keys? will green keys alone bump it up enough to fit and turn without rubbing?

thanks

Not sure what Les Scwhab will do but at discount tires I was standing there while the guy was working on the truck and they (the 285's) didn't fit so I gave him the go ahead and we started hacking at the bumper. I doubt they'd screw around with the truck without your OK.

well im not too hip on that. you think if i order greenkeys and give them to install they would know what to do? do you know if that would level the truck out nice and have enough room? sorry for all the questions this is my first official mod (oem mudflaps and dvd players dont count):h )

Their first remark should be that the 285's will not fit. Then they may ask to crank the bars up.
By going with the Green Keys you are only allowing more adjustment than with the factory keys. The green keys start out with a higher adjustment than with the stock so actuallity it is the same as the stock but with more adjustment to raise the front end higher.

This is more of a suspension thread and will be placed there. Please make sure you post in the correct forums...

yea, i thought it was more 285 specific, but honest mistake...

akdiesel-

if i have them install the green keys will the added adjustment make the cranks they have to make to the tbars help the ride better than without the keys? hope that made sense, i'm just trying to avoid premature front-end wear from having the tbars turned up too much. if having green keys installed and only having to crank the tbars up and that being OK for my truck then ill go down there tomorrow for some new rubber shoes.

thanks

nosliw,

I would be surprised if they would install green keys OR crank up the T-Bar. I have 285/75/16's from Uncle Les too. They trimmed the fender wells a small bit but said they would not install any parts they didn't order themselves. They also told me they wouldn't crank up the T-Bars either.

The Green keys will make the front suspension stiffer as well as just cranking the original keys. The green keys can actually make the ride stiffer since they give you more adjustment in that range.

Sorry for the angle, I took it from my porch. I can take another one if you would like.
