I put mine in my 3 guage pod. Used two holes for boost and pyro guages, and the third hole for the DSP 5. I cut a piece of 3/4 pine and painted it black to mount the switch in the guage pod.

x2... if i ever get gauges, it'll be nexus or nothing!

They look real good... so does the switch.

Where else are you guys hiding them, i have a switch block in the long cubbyhole just above the cupholders

I am thinking about putting it right next to my Pyro, similar to Deere730 but since I have a 2 pod and both are used I'll just see if there's room next to one of the gauges. Maybe room for a smoke switch on the other one????

If you really work at it you can hide in your ashtray. Completely hidden and out of sight, but easily accessible.

Great idea, especially if you have freinds who own slow fords whom borrow your truck and want to go running around feeling what a real "stage 5" feels like.

I have mine mounted in my pod in between my gauges towards the inside. It fits like a glove and looks real clean also.

I mounted mine in a panel to the right of the hvac control head exactly the same as duramax hd. If you have the cell phone compartment there you can use part numbers 15734687 for the bottom cover pieces (needed two) and 15207877 to get the assembly for around $10. IMHO its the cheapest cleanest way to go. Also leaves you room for other switches.

My personal tune does. Just depends on how the tuning is built which decides which face plate to use.

Anyone mounted a DSP5 switch behind the cigarette lighter on the center console in an LBZ?

Was thinking it would be cool to somehow use the cigarette lighter as a switch cover, and you turn the cigarette lighter clockwise to change the tune. Would be totally sneaky. Then I wouldn't get so nervous when someone drives my truck. The lighter fits perfectly over the DSP5 switch.

On my lly the switch is the cigarette lighter, it looks factory and you wouldn't even know it was there. It was pretty easy to do after a little trial and error.

Did you relocate the plug in? I love the idea but I'd like to still plug in a couple accessories.

tripple_a79

I just removed it. I don't use but one accessory at a time so one outlet is enough for me. Relocating it would be easy enough though.

There's a hole on the metal structure of the dash directly below the steering wheel that points straight down that I put mine in. Thought I might kick it but I barely can if I try and I'm 6'5 so if I don't I would say no one would.

Here are the lighter dsp5 switch. I ran out of time and patience when installing it so it didn't come out as clean as I would have liked but it works. In the future I may buy another lighter and re-do it so that it looks even more factory.

I did mine on the inside. It is pretty easy to do just one screw to take out. I put mine on the passenger side so it is easy to reach. Looks like you are getting sometihing out of it..
