I purchased a 2005 Chev duramax diesel with a hyper tech chip installed in it but it came with no programmer box.I need to get the head gasket replaced but GMC will not honour the warranty because the Engine code numbers do not match the factory settings. Is there any way to get these numbers back to factory specs.I tried unhooking the batteries for 12 hrs but no luck.Any input would be appreciated.

There is no way short of someone reloading it with the factory code and now that GM knows it was changed, you might be in for a fight. They keep that information on file so when you bring it back in, they might not change their minds.
Good luck!

someone with EFI may be able to set you back to stock but double check me on that one....as for the dealer its hit or miss weither they saved your specs or not

Fill out your specs so we know what you're working with.
Especially where you are located.
Someone with EFI Live could possibly help you get back to stock. not positive.
Then I would try rolling in to a different dealer.

Fortunately there is no memory in this particular 2004.5/2005 ECM showing the history of flashes. Have someone return it to stock for you using EFILive or some other means.
Or send the ECM to me and I can return it to stock for you, if need be.
