: Passenger side seat slide track/carpet molding?

I got my truck detailed today and I think they may have knocked off a piece of plastic molding. Is there a plastic molding on the passenger side seat on the left side by the slide track that covers the bolts and holds the carpet down? If so, then mine is missing, and is there a way I can order another one online?

the little black piece is almost like the driver side piece. The real reason that it is there is to protect a persons bare foot from getting burned! Honest!

Since it serves no other purpose, I wouldn't worry about it. Pretty easy things to lose. If you do want another, stop in to the parts counter...

Later.

nassdmax is right, I actually worked for the company that made those and launched most of the seat and trim components for these trucks. I worked with the GM engineers, and as nass said, the bolt actually gets very hot from the underside and of course transfers through. I used to have some spares just laying around but I do not work there anymore or else I could help you. If you can get the part number, you probably can get it from dmaxallitech, or even gmpartsdirect.com.

It is funny that on every program I have worked, we try to not implement these, but at the last minute we wind up tooling up for production.
