Good God this thing is ugly.... with that said, I do hope it is successful as hopefully to force Ford & GM into putting a small diesel in their smaller trucks.

How pathetic is that.....the big 3 can't seem to get it done.

I think that the best way to get a diesel in a mid size truck is to buy a toyota and put in a JDM half cut engine. 3.0L diesel, 135-185 hp. Pretty good, but a custom jobber for sure.

The big three could get it done but our government doesnt want us driving diesels. Now that they have control over GM and Chrysler thats two down and Ford has nothing but problems with their diesels right now so why would they invite more trouble by putting out more of them.

Ford had diesel rangers in the US from 82-83 til 86. 85 & 86 years has a sweet little turbo'd 2.3 that was the same engine in the ram-50's & Mitsu. trucks. Earlier years were a Mazda sourced(I believe) 2.2L NA 4cyl diesel.
