I just hauled 20 railroad ties in the back of my crew cab dually....Rear didnt even sag much but the braking took a little longer...
And the acceleration stayed the same. ):h
I think each railroad tie weighed about 200 lbs.
Shouldnt we call these trucks 2 tons instead of 1 tons?
:muahaha:

I hear ya GradyGhost! I'm rather proud of my rig too when I got the 12' Lance Camper in the bed! It weighs just over 4K pounds and with no air in the bags, the dually still sits level. Can you say One Tuff Truck?:rocking:

I know a lot of companys that have the Crew cab. They just order the duelly truck with bed delete and have a rack or dump installed.
What is there Rear in a Duelly? I have 8600 GVW rear in crew cab

The rear axle on my CC dually is rated at 8800 pounds. That leads me to another question though. Is the 3600 not available with a Crew Cab option? I know we build the standard cab and extended cab at Pontiac. I'm just not sure if Flint builds the 3600 Crew Cab. The reason I ask is if the 3600 was available in a crew cab configuration the GVWR is much higher than a 3500 and would make ordering a 3500 box delete a waste of money after making the upgrades to get it to the level of a 3600.

Just curious...

We've been building the 3600's for 3 years or more! I believe they have a 16,000 GVWR. They come right off the same line as all the other trucks. They just have a much heavier and larger frame and suspension components.

That is the truck I have but it a 3500 not a 3600. 12000 gvw 8600 rear and 4800 front. It says 3500 on the Title.

Well when it is rolling down the line it has a 3600 tag on the build sheet. It also shocks the hell out of me about the weight ratings. I thought they would be much higher than that. But...the front half of the frame that is actually under the cab is the same as what goes under all the 2500HD's and 3500's. It's just the rear of the frame that is super-sized. From just in front of the rear of the cab, back. Plus it gets a bigger rear axle and springs than the 3500. And the axle has a 2" sway bar. With the 3500 having an 11,400 GVWR, I thought the 3600 would be in the 16K range. Hmmmm...?
