All I can say is this advice (http://www.gm-trucks.com/IAR_Windmoldnoise.shtml) works well!!
I did it and I hear nothing now. Isn't it great to have a forum like this to share advice. I got the info from here too I think.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That noise has been driving me nuts for a long time now. I do have a bug sheild, but that was on ever since the truck was new. I could hear this noise at the top of the truck, like it was in the headliner. I removed the overhead console at one point to try and find the noise. Then I thought that it might be the moulding at the bottom of the windshield. Never though about the molding around the windshield. Now the noise is coming from the sides up front. I'm gonna go check this out. I finally decided that maybe I was going to have to just live with this annoyance. I'll let ya know what I find.

I did the sides. My top molding (which I thought the noise was coming from) was fine. Perfectly sealed. My side molding was very loose. Stuck some 3m molding tape (which I had to order online) on there -- did the trick.

Well I'm glad it worked for ya'll, I had my bug deflector on from day 1 with no noise. When I put on my front end replacement that is when I started hearing the noise. I tried the 3m tape thing and it did NOT work for me. I guess the front end replacement changed the airflow with the bug deflector installed. I ended up taking the bug guard off and problem solved.

I had the noise before the bug shield was installed. Since then, the noise is gone. I thought it sounded more like a static air cleaner. You know how one (static air cleaner) snaps everytime it zaps dust particles... I checked my trim and never found where the noise was coming from. It drove me nuts everytime I heard it! I installed the "AVS Bugflector", no noise now.

Buy some silicone sealer for glass and go around the windshield on both
sides the noise should vanish
have had to do this on my 2000 and my 2003 after I put the bug shield on

on my past two 2500HD's the noise was the "rubber flaps" that cover the hood hinges, the flaps lift with the wind and slap the bottom of the hood making the noise, usually you can see it if you look closely while driving and can see them flutter. i just cut them alittle shorter on my last truck so they didnt make the noise

Another one who agrees with gsxr. The other half says it sounds like it is rain hitting the windshield. "No dear, the sun is shinning... see ):h " Did the double sided sticky tape on the rubber hinge flap and no more rain in the sunshine. :D
