: Wastegate Acutator is shot- Any alternitives ? Tommyinajar 05-21-2005, 12:50 PM The wastegate actuator is shot on my 94- Can I use or rig a newer one from a 1999 ? pn# 12456425. Mine calls for a 12456422 275 $ seems pretty high for a vaccum canister.... Anything else I can do, or ? If you have a turbo shop or wrecking yard nearby, I would look there. MDT 05-21-2005, 07:11 PM Heath's Turbo-Master instantlly, permanently and cheaply cures all WG actuator, solenoid, and vacuum related problems, while giving a nice boost in power at the same time. I found the threaded rod on the ground the other day and the washer and wing nut were in my hardware drawer, the spring cost me $.50 Steps: 1 remove vac actuator assembly from turbo 2 cut off actuator 3 cut wg arm 4 weld threaded rod to wg arm 5 install Good for all the boost a gm-x will make. http://dieselplace.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=3906 | ||
