no offence but it would make your posts easier to read and comprehend if you typed words completly and without numbers in them

I agree. It's rather annoying too.

Best bet is ebay. Just search heat sink.
Thousands to pick from.

That and you can always check pmdcable.com. They have a heatsink/extension harness combo for pretty cheap if your a fabricator.

And don't use that "internet language" here. This isn't some import forum. Its a respected comunity for diesels. Don't trash it.

Most of the CPU heatsink is good but usually don't have base thick enough to be fasten with a bolt to the bumper. There are some that can but you have to look. If you have an industrial metal supply there, they probably have it also. Check with someone local there and ask for that.

Would a socket 775 cpu heat sink work efficiently on a pmd/fsd

I think a CPU heat sink would be to small, especially concerning where it will be in contact with the PMD.
The whole surface of PMD base must be in contact with the heat sink to perform good heat transfer

Just stroll through a junk yard and find yourself a power amp. They have sizeable heatsinks. You will want a big one. PMD's get really hot.

dat1, you can go to my garage to see pic of my heatsink. I found that at the bay. Need something similar if it does not have the leg it is fine but has to be bigger than the PMD. I am not sure how the RS heatsink look like, it may be fine. Something with 5 to 6 inches long and 3 to 5 inches wide and about 1 inch fin height.
