A few weeks ago i installed MBRP exhaust from turbo back and DPF delete. No problems.... ran great. Yesterday i installed a S&B air intake system and engine light came on. Dash said "engine power reduced" truck had no power. So could this be the exhaust or the intake? Or a combination of both? Any suggestions what i should do??

what are you using to delete the codes for the dpf?

Pull the battery and reset the airflow in the computer. Even changing a dirty stock air filter can cause this code and reduced power due to the MAF airflow going out of range.

I also have dpf delete and 4in turbo back and when I put cold air kit in ran for 2 days then check engine light came on and it was maf code. the oil off the air filter got on maf and reduced engine power. I cleaned maf with electrical cleaner andput stock air filter back in. no problems since.

I have not heard of S&B having any issues with the MAF. Check to see what the codes are and let us know.

X2.... he didn't mention a tuner so if he has no tuner involved obviously he's going to get codes eventually...

Oh yeah he is the first one to ever do that. I'm stock and my truck went into reduced power the other day while towing a trailer. I changed the fuel filter and it hasn't returned. Don't know what to tell you about your issue though.

Try an auto parts store, they often have a code reader and will do it for free.
Then report back the code and or look up the code.

Often folks that use filters that require oil get a buildup on the MAF sensor.

It just takes cleaning the MAF sensor and resetting the computer and reduce the oil on the filter and you are good to go.

Now you did the DPF delete then you must have a tuner to get rid of the DPF codes.

If no tuner then that is also your problem and the only way to fix is to get a tuner and install the DPF delete codes. So make sure you get a tuner that can do the DPF delete codes, there are several you can get at several price points. I'm sure the vendors here can get you what you need.

good luck in getting your truck back on the road soon.

Same thing happend to me also when installing my intake system, my problem was that i had put the screen that comes with the kit in the wrong location. If the s&b kit has a screen included check the instruction & see where the screen needs to be located. Once i changed mine around & cleared codes it has been fine ever since. Hope u get it all figured out!

Did you make sure you put the air sensor in the right direction?
