I have a 03 1 ton and am toying with putting 17" wheels on it. Do I need longer studs or will the stock studs be long enough? Also does Michelin make a 225/75R - 17E tire to fit?

17's should not be a problem since the 07.5 and up come stock with them. I think the size you are talking about is 225/85/17 and the answer is yes.

As long as they are not both aluminum you can. Aluminum outer and a steel inner I think works fine though.
