Tank has been dropped and lines checked inside, new fuel lines from tank to filter, all new lines from filter to pump. Unit will run perfect all day but when it sets over nite it has to be bled at filter to get it to start. Some time back I ask about the same truck 2001 3500 and got all kinds of suggestions and I am sure the dealer checked all before installing all of this a piece at a time. Forgot something, the schroeder valve was also replaced as well as the filter housing. Truck has 200k, 3 sets injectors, new fuel lines, and a pump replaced all of whitch was under warranty before all this started. Boss is pissed an gonna sell it. I suggested putting a lift pump like mine on it an this may be the last step but I feel it will cure the problem. My question is, is there any possible way it can suck air internally. I feel this is not the answer as the air is always at the bleeder and will start rite up when bled off. Look out Eric yo gonna get a call.

Sounds like a seal or something isnt right. Are you getting all this done at a dealer?

Maybe a bad filter or a cracked filter housing?

Cobra--- Yes it is all being dpne at dealer

Precision--- Housing is new an several filters have been changed
This problem has been going on for quite some time now and all the work was not done at once. We run this truck steady when it will run or is not in body shop. Been wrecked 3 times.

Did they replace the intank pickup? Had a few of them pull air. Also if they have an EVAP cart, it should have a smoke setting, you can rig it up to the fuel line to smoke the line and look for it leaking smoke out some where

Yes, had them cracked before from people over tightening them when replacing the filter. Also had the drain seal bad also.
