I think I'm in the right place? Anyway, I am in the process of gathering the parts to put the steering wheel controls in my truck but I have a ZF 6spd and the part number I have 26101828 seems to be for a truck with an Allison.

Does anyone have a 03 and newer truck that has the steering wheel controls w/ a 6spd that wouldnt mind loaning their vin to me so i can get my lazy dealer to give me the right part number?

Hmm. Why would the steering parts be different for a manual trans? Odd. You might just pm someone that has posted in the zf forum or has a zf in their sig. Hope you get it figured out...

Thats exactly what I said but the parts manager even showed me that in the description it said something about the Allison.

wishforit, here's a link to one of the original posts http://dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21720 but if you have the steering wheel with the controls you still need the airbag coil and then find a freindly dealer to program the thing to work. I have a part number but I'm not sure of its application; 26101828 you might want to check with your dealer first. let us know how it goes.
