My driverside climate control is messing up. Sometimes it works good but sometimes you'll have it on cold and all the sudden it just starts blowing hot air out and vise versa hot to cold. When its screwed up you cant change the temp it is what it is. The pass side works great. Is that the switch or is it something eles. Thanks

Most likely the driver's blend ACTUATOR has gone south.

+1. I have the same problem, going in Tuesday to fix. But until you can get in to fix, if you shut off the truck, the actuator will reset and you will be "cool" again.

Crap, please give us some feed back after you guys have this fixed.
A few weeks ago I'm pretty sure I experienced a similar problem, but it only happened the one time and hasn't happened again since.
Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Kevin

Our driver's side vent is doing it in our work truck as well. It used to rarely do it but now it happens all the time. I think I read somewhere on here that you can unplug the actuator and it works for a while. So far I've had ours unplugged for 2 days and no hot air while driving all day long. It's weird though cause at first when I unplugged it, nothing happened and it remained hot. Turned the truck off then on again and it was still blowing hot, so I plugged it back in and it went to cold. Not too much later we were back at hot again so we did the restart, I unplugged the actuator after I made sure it was cold, and it hasn't went hot since. I think once you get it on cold, unplug it so it can't move anymore and it stays at that position.
The plug is located under the dash just to the left of the glove compartment. It's almost inline with where the seam from the dash and glove compartment meet. The plug is connected vertically, pointing straight up so you have to squeeze the connector and pull down.

Guys,
Once it starts, it will only get worse.
There is lots of reading material on here about this. I think there is a thread on almost every page of the interior section actually. You can also use the search function.
Anyway to get you started, read here
http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=314070
And there is a lot more, but I'm at work, so I'll try to post some more links later.
Hopefully that will get you started.

Got the truck back today, and they replaced the temp valve actuator (part #89018365) part shows to be 249.06. Labor was 123.50 giving a total for that job at 372.56. Thank goodness for extended warranty had a couple of other things totaling 1300 and only paid 100.
I know most feel that an extended warranty aren't worth it, but it has MORE than payed for itself for me.

Actually that is the temperature door actuator.
Glad to hear you got it fixed.
Wichita Falls is a nice city BTW.
