OK... the Edge website says that the EZ can be installed with no other modifications, including guages. Is this true? Can I realistically expect to put an EZ on my stock LLY and get an increase in towing capability and milage with no other mod?

Run it in level 1 (not 2 or three) and you should be good to go while towing.
Use 2 or 3 unladen or light towing. They are pretty strong tunes.

PS - no tuner is going to give you more "towing capability" than stock. The stock engine will tow pretty much any legal trailer up steep grades.
If you truly want a "set and forget" tune for towing, call Steve Cole at TTSpowersystems.com. Tell 'em McRat sent you. It's still my favorite towing tune.

This still doesn't answer my question. I want to know if the Edge EZ can reasonably be used with no other mod (i.e. exhaust or guages).

I've had my Edge EZ for about 3 weeks. Mileage is up 2+MPG on level 2. I tow on level 1 a 130000# trailer and it pulls a little better than stock. I like the performance of the truck better now. It's a KEEPER! Will install a pyro soon as I would like to keep an eye on exhaust temps when pulling.

Just did a 4000 mi trip towing with the Edge EZ.
Two thumbs up. For guys with stock trucks who are towing (or even not), you won't be disappointed.
Mileage? Unless you tow at 75-80mph up 7,400ft mountains, my mileage is not going to impress you. ~13.5 mpg roundtrip.

Has anybody tried stacking the EZ with anything ( like a Predator?? ). Are the EZ's tunes the same as the regular Juice or is it something different??

How would you rate it compared to the Van Aaken?

Sledman,
I am wondering the same question...I also use the VA most of the time but on level 1 right now sometimes level 2
McRat wasn't able to test the VA because it was throwing codes. Actually in both trucks :( The new one arrived on Friday but he hasn't been able to test it yet.

Does the Allison have to relearn shifts with the EZ like the Predator?
