I got a new 3500 with the duramax.At about 1500 miles I put red line diesel synthetic in it not knowing I was supposed to wait until at least 10,000 miles to switch from the dino oil.My truck has 3200 miles on it now and I am going to drain the oil and put dino back in it .Does anyone know if I screwed anything up on my d-max?Should I run it with dino for 10,000 from this point and then switch , or go 8500 from here to eqaul 10,000?Any suggestions on oil(both kinds) and everybodys input would be much appreciated. You should be just fine. Everyone runs dino till 10,000 or so to let the motor break in (more wear and tear with dino). You didn't hurt a thing other then your break in time. You may not be as broken in as you would have if you never used the sin oil.
