I have a 2005 duramax stock. My wait to start glow plug light came on while I was driving and stayed on until I shut the truck off. Both times this has happened I was low on fuel and going to the flying j. I have a predator and checked codes and had a P0671. Took it to dealer and they said that they didn't get any codes. So no fix. I will add that both times this happened predator was not installed. What do I do next or is this something to do with low fuel. Also I guess they reflashed my truck and now I have Fuel Filter Life monitor like the engine oil life.

Is the code still there when you hook up the predator? P0671 is an open or short in glowplug #1 circuit for less that 1 second.

I was doing a search when I found this post. This morning my glow plug light wouldn't go off unless I started the truck and then the engine light stays on. I too was low on fuel. I don't really see how one would cause the other but stranger things have happened. I will have it checked for codes later today when I get it to the dealer.
