I have been selling them for over a year now, and I don't recall one customer tell me they threw a code with one. They are one of my best selling intakes for the LMM, and have proven to work well. I run one on my LBZ, have over 10k on it since I switched over, haven't thrown any MAF codes at all either. Let me know if I can help you with one.

I've had one on my LBZ for about 30,000 miles, and never thrown a code.

I have had the Banks cold air for 2 years without any problems.

P.W. The Banks filter is S&B not K&N.

All the LMM's I have sold or installed on, have been code free.

I had a MAF code when changing from a dirty air filter to a (stock) clean one. Even without a restriction showing on the indicator. So you may have had a dirty air filter and the new clean one, aftermarket or not, may have wacked out the computer.

Pull the batteries and reset the computer.

Also look for any massive air leaks that can also throw a MAF code. My dealer told me there is a TSB out for aftermarket air filters and MAF out of range codes.

My friend has a 2007.5 Chevy 2500HD with the Banks cold air intake, Banks Exhaust & the Econo-Mind system.

He was driving around town and it went into Limp Mode, he made it to the dealer and they told him it was running too lean, too much air.

He is fighting with Banks about it as I write this post, he may go back to stock and be done...
So be carfull, Banks said they never had this happen, it it happened to him (only using their products) it can happen to anyone.

I have never heard of a single one having code issues. S&B is another option that is code free.

I'm installing mine this weekend along with a Super Scoop.

I'll let you know if there are any issues, but I don't anticipate any!

I installed my Banks intake, exhaust, and Six Gun (I don't have the scoop) at about 35,000 miles. Currently at 102,000 miles and not one problem with any of my Banks items.

I would not hesitate to use them again.

Troll?

Ditto no codes here, but one caveat. Since the stock MAF is relocated on the Banks unit, the DIC-derived MPG will be inaccurate. This is because the computer-calculated MPG is based on airflow across the MAF. You will have to hand-calculate your MPG from now on. Mine was about 10% worse than the DIC was displaying.

Hope this helps.
