Ok, after reading a bit on this board I can see there are no shortage of upgrades for the transmission in the event that I need them, though the decision seems to be split on whether I can limp a tranny with the 6-gun Im putting on.

In the event that I do need to end up ordering a trans kit though.... While I am comfortable doing just about everything else on the truck, transmissions scare the bejesus out of me. In my 12 or so years of blowing up transmissions though, I have yet to find a shop in Phoenix that I trust.

Can anyone suggest a good shop in Phoenix that does allison work in the event that I end up needing them?

A call to Joe at suncoast or I'm sure ATS(if thats who you are thinking) would get you a "recomended" dealer. Also you could buy a drop in unit and there is less worry of screwing something up. Or many people have drove great distances to suny california for the pimp daddy himself(Mike L.) to work on thier trans.

Sorry I didnt answer your question:o: .

No, Id say that was a pretty good answer. :)

It looks like with prices where they are at, a drop in might be the way to go anyhow.

The best time you could spend would be in Mike L.'s shop.

Not that far from you.

I am 6 hours away, and he got my money.
