I have always gotten bad mileage (10-13) on the road driving 65-75. was wondering if I got another ECU from a salvage yard and tried it would it have a different memory or something that may give me better mileage?
my pickup is a 02 CC shortbox 235/85/16 tires, tonneau cover, other wise all stock. it has about 25-30K on new injectors and injector pump, the hole in cooler tube was fixed at the same time. It gets oil changed(synthetic) every 7500 along with fuel filter.
Thanks is advance MIke

Man, I get that kind of mileage pulling my 30ft 5th wheel camper. There is something wrong somewhere!

What rpm are you running at that speed? If you can get us the rpm and speed we can tell if its off.
Is your MAF bad? if its reading -40*(as low as it'll read if i remember right) then its dumping massive fual in the engine and your running super rich. Does it smoke if you bog it down?

It would probably be best to address the intital problem prior to "chippng" it, otherwise he's just covering up the real problem.

If I remember right it runs about 2000 rpm at 70-72 it doesn't smoke at all. MAF I put a new one in and it is the same
