I am about get my 6" lift and 35" Nittos. I was just wonderin if it was goin to slow me down 2much. I know a couple of guys around here that run their trucks lifted and still pull off good times. I was wantin to get my trans next but my tires are bald so i dont really have a choice, and if im gettin tires might as well go all out with the lift and rims ):h

WI Huck has a RCD lift and 33's and he still runs 13.1

With the bigger tires you're going to be much harder on your trans doing the 1320'. It's ok though, you'll just have to get your trans done sooner ;)

Et will suffer. but you will gain mph. Re-gear to 456:1 and everything will be back to normal.

I am happy with my truck. The lift makes it look better and with the 33 inch tires I am not hurting things too much at the track and pulls. Putting the truck up in the air makes it harder to push down the track, along with the weight of the tires. I dont have the speed that Carbon04 does at the 1/4, but his truck is lighter also. It is all a give and take, I decided to give up a little performance for looks.

The bigger the rubber the bigger the drag on the pavement, therefore, also less overall fuel economy....

The higher the lift the higher the drag especially in the lift kit component area...

i have a 9 inch lift, and 37 swampers, with the edge on level 3, i pulled a 14.9 at 90mph, with a horrible r/t, i didnt think thie was too bad, the edge is all i have done so far, and stock gearing

with a horrible r/t

This has nothing do do with 1/4 mile times at all.

Doesnt R/T mean reaction time, last time i checked that has alot to do with 1/4 mile times.

R/T has nothing to do with your time down the track. It has everything to do with who gets to the stripe first(racing someone heads-up).

Your time doesn't start until you cross the wire, it doesn't matter what your reaction time to the light is. Does that make sense?

Yeah, if your just getting a time for your truck, and not concerned with racing the guy in the other lane, you can sit at the lights for 10 minutes if you want.

This is a big misconception about drag racing.

Reaction Time does NOT affect your ET...PERIOD!!! It will affect whether or not you'll win in bracket racing, but it doesn't change your ET at all. Like it was stated, you could sit there for 10 minutes after the light turned green, and still run the same exact times you always run. The ET timer does NOT start when the light turns green, it starts when YOU leave and break the beam. Each lanes ET timers are independent from the other lane.

I have 315's or 35's if you want. The big tire makes your roll out of the light longer. Deep stage if you want to improve your reaction time. To much and you will red light quicker. More runs will down the track will help also. Helps you from eating a big Pizza at the tree.......):h

.2 - .3 sec slower when I installed 6" Fabtech lift and 35" tires... It really eats into your torque.
