After a 7000 mile trip towing my 5th wheel toyhauler I noticed I was blowing black smoke. Truck is stock except for cold air box and 4 inch exhaust. We went thru 16 states out west fueling at many different types of stations, mostly truck stops. Had changed oil, filter and fuel filter prior to trip. Brought the truck into my dealer who stated #5, 6 & 8 injectors were clogged, #8 being the worst. They stated they were not covered under warranty and wanted $3300.00 to replace the 4-8 injectors. After a bit of discussion they tried to clean out #6 & 8 injectors. Could not completely get #8 unclogged and charged me $400.00. I still have until 11/2010 til warranty runs out. Truck still smoking but not as bad. Idles a little rough but not as bad as before. No loss of power, no fuel in oil. Truck has only 59000 miles.

Any help would be appreciated.

What was your in service date on the truck? You may still be covered under the 5 year portion of your warranty. The extended special policy was only meant to cover a certain failure now.
