on my way to work and took a turn and truck accelerates like a metro. have all 5 gears but no power what so ever. just changed my fuel filter. guessing either the filter is clogged already or the injectors/plugs took a crap on me. hasn't thrown any dtc's yet so. any ideas?

Check for an intercooler boot blown off... especially on the driver's side. If you have a boot off, you won't make any power at all. If you haven't rerouted the PCV, you can wind up with enough oil in the intercooler that you can blow the boot off under power and then you have none.

Another possibility is the EGR may have stuck open on you... but that would typically throw a code. Might swing by AutoZone or some place similar and check for engine codes.

How long has it been since you changed your fuel filter? If it's more than 4-5k miles, I'd replace that too.

One last thing... throw a quart of Power Service Diesel Kleen in your tank - that stuff performs miracles. Good luck!

fuel filter has 600 or so miles on it. so i should reroute my pcv? guess i'll look into that. i didn't get a ses light but i haven't hooked up my ppe yet to see if any codes have been thrown. i will check the boots.

If the EGR is stuck open can you just block it at that point....or do you have to replace 1st then block it?

You should be able to block it even if it's blown open... guess I've never heard of anyone doing that, but I don't know why you wouldn't be able to do that.

so i checked the intercooler tubes, everything ok. look under the hood only to realize my maf bolts came loose and the maf was hanging down by the coolant reservoir. went to the hardware store got some new bolts and all is well. lol something so simple. also for those who read this if this happens to you, lly maf bolts are different from lb7. my brothers bolts on his lb7 are standard and mine were metric. 2 trips to the hardware store and having to take the intake tube into the store to check threads brought this to my attention. lol
