I have a buddy with a burned up 3500hd rollback that he is parting out. It has ten lug 19.5" alum. rims. My question is will they work on my 04 3500. Is there a adaptor I could buy to go from eight lug to ten. Also I see alot of guys running bigger rims and tires is this just a looks thing or are there any other advantages seems the larger tire and rim might rob some power but at the same time could lower rpms at highway speeds

go to chromewheel.com. be prepared to pay for it though:) the kit to run those tires on my truck was 2500.00 for the 8 to 10 lug adapters. the advantage would be the mileage you can get out of a set of tractor trailer tires

Just a thought but won't those semi-truck tires ride pretty rough? With the stiff sidewalls and the amount of added unsprung weight you're gonna have it just seems like makings for a harsh ride.

IIRC the 3500hd's had 5 front lug and 10 rear lug. I am not sure if they changed it later on, but that is what I remember of the trucks. If I am wrong please correct me, but you may want to check on that before you buy them. Prolly cost quite a bit to get adaptors made for those.
