so what style of fuel filter is everybody using? the only one i have ever bought is the one on the right and that is usually a fram from tractor supply. the one on the left is supposed to be a purolator and the one on the right is supposed to be an acdelco, and the one in the bottom is supposed to be a wix. is there any benefits to a particular design?
OK I see 3 filters all side by side don't see a bottom one and you talk about there being two on the right. I'm confused ):h

I've never seen 1 or 2 either. I've replaced my filter 3~4 times per year and always gotten the #3 style.

I've used a #2 steel band one once.
I was told that it's an older filer with a prefilter built into it. Stanadyne replaced it with #3. I would say that both #1 and #2 are the older design and have been superceded by #3.

The only one i have ever seen is the #3.I have bought different brand's(wix's,baldwin, etc) and if you look on the bottom metal part of the filter they are all stamped Standadyn. So i guess that one company makes them.
