Well I found that retread tires are a hellofa lot cheaper than the tires that i was going to purchase. i was wondering if it was safe to run retreads on front and back axles of my dually. Here's a link to the website... treadwright.com

:badidea: X2! The damage inflicted when the cap comes apart can be tremendous.

Some of the problems are if the tire was heated up that affects there ability to bond to the recap. Do you do short driveing or long distance, if the longer distance they then are a bad idea they don't heat up as much on short delivery type driving so don't seperated.

I have ran recaps on the rear for a year now and no problems, on the front there is no way I would EVER run recaps. I have traveled from Ohio to Nashville and had absolutly no issues.

A buddy of mine just bought a set of 285/75/16 bfg all terrains from that company and they seem alright with normal driving but pulling his trailer the truck was all over the road at interstate speeds. Its like the sidewalls flex too much.
