I did a search but couldn't find any info... Assuming One has SD's tierod sleeves, will a 4x4 boosted launch on a truck with no power adders limp the Allison?

I did a bunch of boosted launches w/predator on 100hp and stock trans. I never limped it, but on disassembly I found C3/C4 clutches discolored. But I'd had run the truck hard with the predator on the high settings for quite a while.

I don't think you'll do much damage with stock programing, as long as it's just a few times.

The C1 ( called the 1234 clutch by GM because it's always applyed in forward gears except 5th) is the smallest clutch stack in the Ally and the most likely clutch to let go in a high boost launch. Without a big tune you are probably fine for a while. With a big tune, it( C1 ) will eventually fail you. Stay out of the bleach box at the strip or you may not get home.
