At a GM Truck Prototype plant today, going over a truck being built, and noticed what looked like an Avalanche.... Closer look, definately an Avalanche, but new bodystyle and frontend. Think Colorado style front end, with headlights pulling back onto the fenders a bit, split grille like 05 grille, but thicker, rounded body panels and fenders, bed rails curve for a rounded appearance. My guess is the Silverado will look very similar.

No wonder there going broke... I'll keep my Chevy '02 till it falls apart. The last real GM Truck... Everything else just looks so Avalanche...

That's why I had to switch to GMC, not really big on the Chevy front end or the Avalanche for that matter. The 05 hoods are an improvement in the right direction though.

You know, for looks, the 02 was the last year, but in all honesty, IMHO, the 05's are getting a bit better. I think we all agree last few years have looked rather nasty, but the '05 I could live with, particularly with the HD hood. Got me a Suburban 2500 and it looks like the 02s, but no HD hood. :(
Either way though, it the drivetrain that counts and they all have meat on the bone, just the dressing on some is for $hit. ;)
