so I hooked up my TT and TOTALLY forgot the 65 tune was in the predator... I went to merge onto city traffic - 45-50 mph,... and the ally kinda was skiddish like the first time I loaded atune into it. felt like it was slipping, but im sure it wasnt... just that slow shift ....anyways it was then I realized i had a performance tune with 8K in tow... I cautiously applied the go pedal all the way home., I didnt get above 2300 rpms and this made the shifts much smoother. I also left OFF the tow haul mode so the TC would hopefully absorb some of the power. I watched all gauges closely, the engine never climbed over 190-200 the ally never over 190 and EGTs never over 1100. Do you suppose I did any damage>? trip was only 6 miles in town. about a dozen stop and goes/

I would say NO...I drive with mine on the 85 tune and tow with it all the time...As long as you watch your gauges you should be fine in my opion...I also have a stock tranny and have 16,000 miles on it...Hope this helps...I had the predator on since like day 3 of buying the truck..

Not likely. I've towed with a 70HP tune from MI to FL on a stock transmission, 10K trailer. Although some stock Allisons seem to be stronger than others, and some weaker, I doubt you did any damage. The Allison is a very very tough trans, pretty much built for towing.
