Honest unless you got the 6.2 laying around would not bother with it. Would be thinking 12v Cummins for that project and maybe a manual valvebody in the trans, a buddy has one in his 05 cummins and loves it

I did it with my Apache using a 6.5 turbo and so far Im quite pleased with it. Dont do heavy pulling or anything but thats fine with me.

X2 on the 12V Cummins!!!!!! A little tweaking and you will have one serious 60 Chevy!!!!

If you have the 6.2 go for it. If you have 2 then by all means go for it. That would be a cool project to go for. 4wd or just 2?

Sidepipes or stacks? :D

Turbo? No sense leaving it weak...

I'm doing the same sort of thing with a '91 Chevy stepside. You may want to upgrade the brakes on the 60's model to make it more "competitive" as a daily driver. Where's the pix? Go full restomod on it - that should be an awesome toy.
