Getting ready to do a Transgo Jr install tomorrow. Having a few local guys come and help and from what I'm hearing, we won't be draining the entire tranny of fluid. So my question is, is it ok to replace what is lost with something like Amsoil or Transynd i.e. is it ok to mix the factory stuff with the aftermarket stuff?

Amsoil mixes with anything so that will be fine, but you will need around 11 quarts give or take a couple. I use amsoil myself and have for years it is good stuff. Have a good day.

What oil is recommended for my transmission? I see some guys running Torquedrive. I'm here at the Amsoil distribution center and I'm unsure of what to get. That or the low viscosity stuff that is recommended by Amsoil.
