Im gonna make the story short. And im gonna list the things kinda in order.

-Made 2 diesel passes and the strip
-then noticed check engine light and no indicator under the "D"
-also noticed that truck would not lock into 1,2,or 3.
- while messin with that i noticed that truck was hung in 3rd. so i went back to park and then to D and truck was back to shifting normal. at this point i had an indicator under P(sometimes i would hafta jiggle the gear selector to get it to show up),R and N and no indicator under D,3,2 or 1
- drove the truck home and ****ed normally with temp also normal.
-i figured the culpret to be the NSBU switch. so i messed with the connectors and stuff on it. tried to clear the codes with a predator but they wouldnt clear. check engine light still on.
-drove the truck for another 2 days while waiting on switch to come in. i did install myself to keep from havin to strip the truck down for dealer.
- heres something kind of interesting. if you would go straight from P to D or R to D it would go into drive and be in first gear. if you tried to go from N to D truck would not go in gear and you would hafta go back to R and then straight back to D and everything was fine. if at any point you would go to 3,2,1 truck would hang in 3.
- so i installed the new switch, aligned it perfectly. still the same thing as the original switch. so i went to the dealer to have the codes brought up and cleared thinkin this might help something.
- P0700 and P0708 were the 2 codes that were found and cleared.
-started the truck back up....still same thing

Anyone have any clue whats goin on here???? I know its a lot to explain and i could prob do it better over the phone. if anyone has any ideas PM me with ur number or i can give you mine. Looks like my pulling plans for this weekend have been flattened...LOL

Ryan call ATS they would know other wise it's speculation. You have changed and done the obvious sounds like something minor.Perhaps the Co-pilot connections?Again I'm guessing.

Let us know and good luck

still cant figure it out...i took the co-pilot out of the equation.still the same thing. i am supposed to have a tech 2 comin tomorrow afternoon to try and trace down the problem. mike at ATS told me i should track what the NSBU switch is doing??? anyone know how i would go about doing that?

well its fixed and good as new...took it out and did several massive launches and 1/4 passes with it.

wanna know what the problem was???? a wire loom which someone, might have been me, might not, that some didnt secure well...worked it way over to the front driveshaft. during my 1/4mile pass it wore the coating off 2 wires and were allowing them to touch. for some reason the first time i looked it over i couldnt see it. but now all is good
