05 GMC 2500HD Duramax w/Allison Trans:
Does it hurt anything to shift the transmission (an automatic) between Park and Neutral when the engine is not running ?
I need to perform a precision park (fractions of an inch clearance) and I'd do this by rolling (pushing) the truck by hand (engine off) into position, blocking the wheels, and shifting into Park.
