Hi I just got my truck and it has ProComp All Terrains on it.The size says it's 33x12.5.17. Does that chage over to anyother size? 285's? or whatever? The tires now i will need to replace soon enough so I wanted to start now looking. The Procomps are on sale right now buy 3 get 1 free, but that's still like 800 bucks. Is that a good price, Are Procomps a good tire

That's a 315/65/17 tire.
I was looking at the pro-comps too due to their sale, but haven't heard a lot of reviews on them here.
I'm subscribing and here's a TTT for you.

I'm very happy with my Pro Comp A/T's. I got 55k on my first set and just bought a second set.

i thought the 33's were a 285/70/17. I've got 315/70/17's and they measure almost a full 35" tall to be a 35/12.5/17

I bought a set of Pro-Comp xtreme m/t's 265/70/17's 15000 miles later still got over 70% tread life. I love pro-comp tires had xtreme a/t, m/t, really a good tire and not cheap.

33 x 12.5 R17 is a floatation tire size, they run a lot wider than normal tires.
The 285/70 R17 is a very popular size. All tires very but it sould be around 32.8" x 11.5"
There is also a 305/65 R17 Not a popular size but it should run about 32.7" x 12.2"

My last 2 sets of 285/70 R17 has been BFG A/T. The truck drives & rides great. I have a heavy pedal & my tires dont get but 25k per set. I never do burnouts, but do chip tires when allison tranny goes into 2nd gear every once in a while. My friends have been running Mickey Thompson ATZ & love the mileage & they drive harder than I.

Now I'm really CORN-FUSED. A 285/70/17 will fit my rims?'s I would guess then that the rims are 12.5 x 17's?
So with that in mind whats the opinion of the best tire for towing and rideability 90% on road for a rim like that? Is Pro Comp the best?

Use this spreadsheet for converting metric to standard sizes. It has gear ration too. I have not had the Pro Comp tires so I cannot comment on them.

I'm running the ProComp Xtreme A/T. They have been wearing really well and perform great offroad and on but I can't wait to get rid of them. If I knew they were going to be as noisy as they are, I would have gotten a full blown mud tire.
